Cover Me was born out of frustration, and a drive to create something better.
As a vocalist, I (Rick) experienced the flaws of existing vocal marketplaces firsthand. I once sold my own vocals on a platform where I never got paid. Later, I discovered I wasn’t alone. Other vocalists on the same site were left empty-handed too. It became clear: many of these platforms weren’t built to support artists, they were built to exploit them.
As producers, we (Tom & Rick) were equally frustrated. Too often we found ourself digging through bad recordings, poorly edited stems, or even AI-generated vocals passed off as real performances. The alternatives didn’t inspire creativity, they killed it.
That’s why we created Cover Me: a marketplace built on fairness, quality, and trust. A place where vocalists get paid fairly for their art and can build sustainable careers, while producers get access to industry-standard, fully licensed vocals they can confidently release.
Cover Me builds on the same vision as Rick’s other project, Sonance Sounds: delivering high-quality tools for producers worldwide. Together, both brands empower artists with the resources they need to create and thrive.
At its core, Cover Me isn’t just another vocal platform. It’s a community built by artists, for artists, designed to raise the standard and bring authenticity back to music production.
Because at the end of the day, great music deserves great vocals, and great artists deserve to be rewarded for their work.
